The main objective of the society is to meet the aspirations of the farmers, growers and consumers for addressing common issues like quality planting material , pest management, sandalwood agroforestry, trade, policy issues and protection. Society actively involved to bring sandalwood growers across the country, it’s head quarters is in Bangalore and regional Clusters in Tamilnadu, Orissa, Rajasthan, Telangana , Andra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Assam. The Society Comprises of senior retaired IFS officer, scientists and Retaired General manager From KSDL with more than 30 year’s of Experience in sandalwood, Farm forestry , Agroforestry and medicinal plants society has tied up with KVK, IWST, University of agriculture sciences Karnataka Forest Department and making concerted efforts for establishing different agroforestry models with sandalwood to help farmers with it’s unique concept of multilayer farming to make it more economically viable.The society regularly conducting Training programs for farmers and other sandalwood growing aspirants.The sandalwood society represents by itself as traditional and non traditional sandalwood growing states of the country with the aim to help the farming community
